Ingredients

  • 5 Maple Breakfast Patties, thawed overnight in fridge.
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted (or vegan sub).
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100% maple syrup, for topping.
  • Mixed berries of choice (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries).

Directions

  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. In a large bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and whisk to combine.
  3. Warm the milk up in the microwave for just 1 minute, or heat until slightly warm on the stove top.
  4. In a separate small bowl whisk the eggs and stir in the warm milk, melted butter and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until blended.
  5. Scoop the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp. Repeat until all waffles are cooked.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat nonstick pan to medium heat. Add Breakfast Patties to pan and sauté for 7-9 minutes. Flip every 2 minutes until outsides are browned and internal temperature reaches 165F. Remove & let rest for several minutes.
  7. Serve immediately, topping waffles with extra butter & maple syrup as desired. Add fresh mixed berries.
